An exciting Camel Festival is organized between 6 and 7 March annually in the Gobi Desert of South Gobi province, Mongolia. The festival gives plenty of chances to see and enjoy camel polo, camel races, competitions among camel breeders, cultural performance and many more activities in closest distance. Travel to Mongolian Gobi Desert late winter or beginning of warm spring and enjoy one of the most worthy nomadic festivals of Mongolia.

Tour itinerary day by day
Today is a long driving day. We will meet you at your hotel/accommodation early in the morning and will drive south to the Center of South Gobi province, Dalanzadgad. On the way we will pass through Mandalgovi, the center of Middle Gobi province and have lunch. Stay overnight at hotel in Dalanzadgad.

After breakfast we
will drive to Bulgan sum for taking part in Camel Festival. Enjoy watching and
taking part in Camel Festival.
10:00-13:00. Camel
Polo competition.
13:00-14:00. Lunch
break.
14:00. Opening
ceremony of “Camel Festival-2024”. Camel Parade will be organized.
14:00. “Nice
Couples on Camel” competition.
15:00. Ankle bone
shooting competition. It lasts for 2 days.
18:00. Final round
of Camel Polo for medals.
19:00. Cultural performance
of songs and dance by children from Bulgan sum.
20:00. Public dance
in the club of Bulgan sum.
Return to Dalanzadgad and stay overnight at hotel.

will drive to Bulgan sum for taking part in Camel Festival for second day.
09:00. Camels for race
will be registered and checked. Tourists may bet.
10:30. Watch camel
race.
12:00. Watch
2-year-old camel race.

14:00. Challenging
competitions with camel among camel breeders.
17:00. Closing ceremony and winners will be awarded.
Visit dinosaur land Bayanzag " Flaming Cliffs". This place is famous for its dinosaur fossils, eggs and the special Gobi tree, the “saxaul”. In 1922 American explorer Roy Chapmen Andrews and his expedition members found the first dinosaur eggs as well as numerous fossil skeletons of dinosaurs that lived 70-80 million years ago. Visit the Flaming Cliffs. Walk in the Gobi “saxaul” forest and enjoy its natural beauty.
Visit Gobi sand dunes on the way.
Return to
Dalanzadgad and stay overnight at hotel.

After breakfast we will drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Have lunch on the way. Transfer to your hotel/accommodation in the evening.
